On September 24, at the top of the Mang Mountains in Wuxi County, Chongqing City, after nearly 2 hours of aerial work, the employees of State Grid Corporation of China completed the world’s first mountainous UHV line helicopter on-line maintenance task and successfully eliminated ±800 kV. The hidden safety hazards on the Shaoguan line (Chongqing section) marked another breakthrough in China's live working technology and practice.

At 10:30 on the morning of September 24, a double-engine light helicopter with a gondola carrying maintenance personnel lifted into the air at a constant speed, slowly approaching the UHV line, and accurately placing the gondola at the working position.

Employees of State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company and State Grid General Aviation Company entered the electric field and carried out ground potential and equipotential electrification at the ±800 kV Qishao Line (Chongqing Section) Tower 3344 and Tower 3345.

They concentrated on the operation, confirmed the location, repaired the wire, removed the foreign body... After an hour and a half, they successfully eliminated the line defect.
