A final farewell to the great lady of French song.

The funeral of Juliette Gréco, who died Wednesday at the age of 93, will take place on October 5 at 2:30 p.m. in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church in Paris, her family announced to AFP, before a burial " in the strictest privacy, ”said her granddaughter, Julie-Amour Rossini.

“She wished a mass in Saint-Germain des Prés, at her place.

Her life started a lot there, ”said Jacqueline Franjou, 73, creator of the Ramatuelle Festival and long-time friend of Juliette Gréco.

"Ramatuelle was her place of life, but Paris is her life as an artist, of youth, of encounters, of creation", she underlined.

She had visited him for the last time this summer, along with singer Abd Al Malik.

A figure of Saint-Tropez in the 1960s, she rediscovered the Côte d'Azur in 1985 at the launch of the Ramatuelle Festival, dedicated at the time to the memory of actor Gérard Philippe, buried in the village.
