Our young people have chosen a violent path, because world leaders and the international media regard them as "freedom fighters", but when the same violent incident occurs in their cities?

They immediately pointed out that violence is unacceptable.

(Reporter: What kind of voice do you hope to convey to the international community?) It is the real voice.

[Commentary] Recently, a video of Hong Kong youth Lin Lin's speech at the 45th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council has attracted many people's attention.

As a director of the United Nations Association of China and a member of the Youth Development Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lin Lin emphasized in an exclusive interview with China News Agency in Hong Kong that she will make every effort to let the international community understand the real Hong Kong.

[Explanation] In the summer of 2019, a sudden social turmoil swept through Hong Kong. Radical demonstrators occupied the city’s main roads, surrounded the police headquarters, and attacked the Legislative Council. Violence continued to escalate.

During this period, Lin Lin noticed that some international media have been wearing "tinted glasses", constantly beautifying the violent actions of the demonstrators, having many biased reports on the Hong Kong police, and even concocting fake news.

At the time, everyone knew that CNN made a video that was obviously modified. It means that the demonstrators threw incendiary bombs at the police, but CNN broadcast the video upside down, and everyone saw that the police threw petrol bombs at the demonstrators. It is impossible for anyone in Hong Kong to see (the video thinks), but CNN broadcast it without verification, and then said that Hong Kong now seems to be in dire straits.

The Hong Kong police are really gentle. In terms of police power, some early actions (demonstrators) could already take out guns, but (police) did not.

When you are talking about our Hong Kong police violent, what do your policemen call when they fired?

People don’t have weapons, they have already pressed you there, and you have to shoot a few shots at them. What is going on?

[Explanation] Under the black violence, some Hong Kong opposition figures instigated Hong Kong youths to take to the streets while disguising themselves as weak in the international community and demanding Western countries to intervene in Hong Kong affairs, which made Lin Lin feel indignant.

She couldn't bear to see Hong Kong gradually degenerate into a pawn for some Western political forces to check and balance China, so she decided to use her own strength to speak repeatedly in the UN Human Rights Council to prevent some Western politicians from slandering the Hong Kong police and beautifying violence.

There are more than 7 million people living in Hong Kong. We take Hong Kong as our home, not for you (Western politicians) to use it and then throw it away. You really have to wipe your eyes and see the facts clearly.

[Explanation] After the social turmoil lasted for a year, Hong Kong finally ushered in a law to safeguard national security-the Hong Kong National Security Law.

Lin Lin is pleased to see that society has gradually returned to calm, and some opposition figures have changed their calibre, claiming that they have never supported "Hong Kong independence."

She hopes that in the future, the SAR government will pay more attention to cultivating young people's national concepts and use lively and interesting methods to enable young people to strengthen their knowledge of the country.

I think the promotion is really to be a little bit more detailed, like the small short films of Douyin, right, some of them explain the principles more clearly, use that method to do it, I think now everyone likes to go to the video site to watch the film , Everyone likes to watch movies on social platforms, and everyone likes to watch movies on Douyin, so use this method.
