In 2019, the first black hole photo (M87*) in history was released.

According to new research in the Astrophysical Journal, experts have constructed a new mathematical model and reconstructed it from 2009 to 2017 using the lower resolution data of M87* collected several times earlier. The evolution process between the two, constructed this short film showing the dynamic process of the black hole M87*.

Due to the complex dynamics around the black hole, the matter in the accretion disk of the black hole will rotate at a high speed, and under the Doppler effect, it will produce a brightness difference in the observer's field of vision.

Therefore, although M87* itself has not changed, we can observe the brightness change of the black hole ring from the video.

The researchers stated that they will observe M87* again in 2021 and collect data for future production of clearer images.
