Its toilet is outside, and hundreds of people share a bathroom. Think about that situation.

(We) don't have a kitchen and eat a big canteen.

I have been here for 65 years. From the 1950s, to the reform and opening up, to the new world of ecological civilization, what we are now pursuing is not just a well-off life with adequate food and clothing. Our next step is to pursue a better life.

[Explanation] Wu Chuanfa, an old man who lives in Qingheju Community, Qingshan District, Wuhan, Hubei, went from a family of six squeezed into an 18-square-meter hut to live in a spacious and bright two-bedroom, one-living new house. Daddy, listen to me in your family. The Workers’ Village in the past was like a big broken kiln. The largest shanty town in Central China was filled with hairy people.

Mosquitoes and flies fly all over the sky, mice run around, muddy on rainy days, and the tide returns on sunny days. A large family lives in a single room and it is a mess.

My good mother-in-law, don't be impatient, the party and the government are the people, so thoughtful.

The state paid for the construction of high-rise buildings and renovated shanty towns.

Today's Workers' Village has a beautiful environment, with green hills and clear waters reflecting the blue sky, red flowers and green grass.

Fiber optic cable is connected to households, natural gas is really environmentally friendly, there are many high-definition TV programs, and the channels are adjusted by you.

Moved to a new home happily, firecrackers rushed into the sky.

[Explanation] Qingheju Community Secretary Gui Xiaomei introduced to reporters that by July 2016, 5 resettlement housing communities, namely Linjiang Harbor, Qingyiju, Qingkangju, Qingheju, and Qingxinju, will be built. 16,959 units, 1,108,100 square meters, all the shed reform residents moved back to their new homes, a step spanning 60 years.
