On September 23, at the Donkey Standardization Breeding Center of Hejiaxin Village, Pishan County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, Maihemuti Abdukader was adding forage to the donkeys.
Maihemuti Abdukader, who has been working here for almost a year, currently earns RMB 3,000 per month.
According to reports, the center has bred a total of 5,000 donkeys, involving 5,000 poor households, and adopts a care model of centralized breeding and unified management of milk-producing donkeys, which can achieve an annual income of 5,000 to 6,000 yuan per donkey.
In recent years, Pishan County has vigorously developed the donkey industry. At present, nearly 40,000 donkeys have been raised. The donkey industry has become one of the main industries for local poor households to increase their income and become rich.
