The Kanagawa Prefectural Police announced on the 24th that two police officers working at the Takatsu police station in Kawasaki City were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.


This brings the total number of infected police officers at the Takatsu Police Station to six.

According to police, two new male police officers in their 50s and 40s working at the Takatsu Police Station in Kawasaki City were confirmed to be infected.



At the Takatsu police station, police officers have been infected one after another in multiple departments such as the traffic department and the area department since the middle of this month, and police officers in their 50s are asymptomatic but have been voluntarily inspected.



On the other hand, police officers in their 40s had symptoms such as fever and were examined and were mildly ill.



Infection was confirmed for a total of 6 people, including 2 people announced on the 24th, and the Takatsu police station has 75 out of about 230 staff members who were working on the same floor as the infected police officers. This means that many of these will be tested for PCR as a wait at home.



In addition, the police headquarters will dispatch support police officers to carry out the duties of the police station as usual.
