In view of the latest changes and developments in the global new crown pneumonia epidemic, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced on the 24th that the United Kingdom will be added to a region with a high risk of the epidemic (specified areas), with an effective date of October 1.

According to regulations, people arriving in Hong Kong from the United Kingdom and the 10 designated areas previously listed must comply with the quarantine regulations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.

  Earlier, the SAR government enacted the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulation of Cross-Border Transport and Arrivals) Regulations" (Chapter 599H), which governs the implementation of testing and quarantine conditions for persons arriving in Hong Kong from extremely high-risk areas. The relevant measures are applicable to 10 regions (ie Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa and the United States).

  The Secretary for Food and Health of the Special Administrative Region Government gazetted on the 24th to maintain the conditions that have been implemented, and to add the United Kingdom to the specified area. The effective date is October 1, which will remain in force until further notice.

  According to the requirements of the Regulations, persons arriving in Hong Kong from specified areas, if they board a civil aircraft (specified aircraft) arriving in (or about to arrive from outside Hong Kong) Hong Kong from outside Hong Kong, or within 14 days before that date, If you stay in the above-mentioned designated areas, you must provide a negative certificate of the new coronavirus nucleic acid test, and you must stay in the hotel for no less than 14 days from the date of arrival in Hong Kong.

  In addition, people arriving in Hong Kong from designated areas must undergo a new coronavirus test by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government upon arrival. If the test result is negative, they will be allowed to go to the reserved hotel to continue the 14-day compulsory quarantine.

If the test result is positive, the relevant person will be transferred to the hospital for isolation treatment.

  The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 24th that as of 0:00 on the 24th, Hong Kong had seven new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, four imported cases and three local cases.

Four imported cases arrived in Hong Kong from the Philippines and the United Kingdom.

At present, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong has increased to 5,056, and the number of deaths has increased to 104.
