  China News Service, Macau, September 24 (Reporter Long Tuyou) The Macau Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center stated on the 24th that the Mainland has fully resumed the application of visas for travel to Macau, and the long National Day holiday is approaching, in order to cope with the sudden change For the increase in inbound passengers, the health authorities have formulated emergency plans and will deploy additional personnel at various ports to speed up the inspection of the health codes and nucleic acid reports of inbound passengers.

  The Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center held a press conference on the same day to introduce Macau's latest epidemic and prevention and control measures.

  The Director of Operations and Communications of the Public Security Police Department, Ma Chaoxiong, said at the meeting that during the National Day holiday, police forces will be strengthened to conduct market patrols and traffic evacuation. When necessary, entry and exit counters will be opened to guide passengers.

In addition, the police will closely monitor the flow of people at various ports and scenic spots to maintain order in Macau during the National Day holiday.

  Liu Fengchi, director of the Public Relations Office of the Tourism Bureau, said that he had communicated closely with the Transportation Bureau and the Public Security Police on the National Day fireworks display, and would try to distract the crowd watching the fireworks display that night.

In order to comply with the epidemic prevention guidelines and reduce the flow of people, the authorities will arrange live broadcasts so that some citizens can choose to stay at home to enjoy the fireworks display.

  As of September 24, Macau has had no local case reports for 179 consecutive days and no overseas imported case reports for 90 consecutive days.

A total of 46 patients with confirmed cases have been cured and discharged. So far there has been no community transmission of the new crown pneumonia virus, and no medical staff have been infected.
