Benha University Hospital doctors extracted a mobile phone from the stomach of the young Egyptian, “H.

R. “(28 years), from Kafr Shukr, Qalyubia Governorate (Delta Egypt), 7 months after he swallowed it.

As reported by "Al-Sharq Al-Awsat" newspaper.


Dr. Muhammad Shoulah, the doctor overseeing the surgery at the hospital, told Asharq Al-Awsat: “The young man received us while he was completely exhausted. None of the doctors or his family were informed of this prior to his presence in the hospital. ”

He added, "The TV x-rays that were made confirmed the presence of the phone in his stomach, before it was extracted last Tuesday."

He confirmed that his health condition was stable after the operation.

The medical team handed over the mobile device to the hospital’s police department after retrieving it as a routine procedure.
