Rapper Cardi B -

Capital Pictures / Starface

Earlier this month, Cardi B posted an alarming video in which, according to her, her sister Hennessy Carolina was seen being verbally assaulted by a group of Donald Trump supporters, one of whom was wearing a "Make America Great Again" cap.

The images showed, again according to the rapper, the reality and racism that her sister regularly faces, as a gay woman in an "Afro-Hispanic" couple.

You wanna know why joe gotta talk to me Candice cause I have the # 1 song & yet my sister can't go to the beach in the Hampton's wit out trump supporters harassing cause they were by themselves & Santa Claus was harassing my sis GF all because they are a Afro / Hispanic gay couple https://t.co/OLQX2mrzbp pic.twitter.com/ISfJStODme

Since then, the group accused by the star has responded by filing a defamation complaint.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, they claim that they are the victims and that Hennessy, Cardi B's sister, took them to task as soon as she saw them because of their easily identifiable red caps.

Where is the truth ?

The group, made up of Peter Caliendo, Pauline Caliendo and Manuel Alarcon, therefore filed a complaint against Cardi B, his sister, as well as Hennessy Carolina's girlfriend, Michelle Diaz.

The complainants also explain that the video has been heavily tampered with, so that they appear as racists although they have never had inappropriate words against anyone.

Hennessy Carolina claimed in the video that Donald Trump's three supporters encouraged her to return to her country (when she, like her sister, was born in New York).

Neither Hennessy Carolina nor Cardi B have responded to this lawsuit yet.

Nevertheless, knowing the rapper, it is unlikely that she will let go without reacting.
