Eight new large cities, including Paris, have been placed in a "heightened alert zone" due to the progression of the Covid-19 in France, said Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, on Wednesday evening.

The curve of new cases continues to rise and the circulation of the Covid on the national territory seems more and more out of control.

"The situation continues to deteriorate," said at a press conference late Wednesday, Olivier Véran, Minister of Health.

Eight new large cities, including Paris, have been placed in an "enhanced alert zone" due to the spread of the virus, he said.
