A popular cleanser that eliminates corona spreading on surfaces

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revealed that it has approved the original Pine-Sol detergent (which is Clorox's registered trade name for a group of household cleaning products) that was added to the agency's list of products that kill the virus spreading on surfaces, after meeting the criteria for its use against Covid-19.

The company, "Clorox", which produces the detergent, said in a press release that Pine-Sol was tested by a third-party laboratory, which showed that the disinfectant can kill the virus within 10 minutes of using it on hard, non-porous surfaces.

Also, Chris Haider, vice president of Clorox, general manager of the cleaning department of the giant company, considered that the cleaner now provides families with the protection they need in facing Corona.

To prevent the deadly virus, the company said that customers should apply Pine-Sol with a "sponge" or a clean cloth to the surface, wait 10 minutes, then rinse it.

For very dirty surfaces, the company said that pre-cleaning to remove the excess dirt first, would be necessary.

This, "Clorox" is the world's largest manufacturer of cleaning materials, and the company has 36 other products on the EPA list of disinfectants for use against the Corona virus, and due to the huge demand, the company says it will continue to face a shortage of production of its wipes and other products until 2021.

According to what CNN reported, the Environmental Protection Agency says it is important to follow the instructions on the labels of disinfectants, and pay attention to the time that the product must remain on the surface being cleaned.

In addition, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced, Monday, that six million 786,352 cases of the new Corona virus have been recorded, an increase of 37,417 cases from its previous count, and said that the number of deaths increased by 270 to 19,024.
