[Commentary] The poet Yu Xiuhua brought the reprinted poem collection "Moonlight on the Left Hand" to Beijing recently.
In an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency, she read a new poem in her work in front of the camera.

Because I read poems the best, including many poets who read their own poems. They can’t read that rhythm and don’t know why.
It has pauses or the speed of speech and the pitch of the tone. It has a rhythm, but many poets cannot read their own poems, so I can't figure out why.
[Explanation] Previously, Yu Xiuhua's video of reading poems on the live webcast was praised by netizens, and her sincere and full-strength performance was evaluated as "poetic surging" and "feeling the power of life".
In Yu Xiuhua's view, poetry is more like a part of life to herself than to bring strength and touch to others.

Poetry is actually a natural thing to me.
There is neither persistence nor power, but in the eyes of others, it may be different, and they may see the so-called power and other things.
But in my eyes, it is a natural part of me.
(Writing poetry) It takes talent, really.
That is to say, the sensitivity of a poet is innate and cannot be cultivated, and the angle from which you look at the problem, the direction of thinking, and the intensity of thinking are all innate things.
[Explanation] Recently, Yu Xiuhua has repeatedly appeared on Weibo hot searches for responding to controversies on the Internet and making "angry" netizens. Her frank, straightforward and sharp language style has attracted attention, and she was once named a "combat girl". The title of "Poet" and "Keyboard Man Nemesis".

This is the fun thing on Weibo. What do I say, some people still don’t believe me, and what I say some people still believe, yes, it depends on how you change.
At first I felt sad, but later I saw that some criticized me and praised me. I didn’t care if I watched too much (it doesn’t matter). That is, when someone scolds you at first, you will feel sad and scolded. If there are too many people, you will think that I am just such a person. You scold me, I will be like this.
[Explanation] From the initial sadness and resentment, to the calm and indifferentness now, from "Passing through Most of China to Sleep with You", which made her popular overnight in 2015, to the "peasant woman", "cerebral palsy poetess", etc. A series of internet celebrity labels... Yu Xiuhua admitted frankly that, compared to the hard work of many people on fixed personal settings, she is more willing to show the different aspects of her personality.

Many people have their own personal settings. For example, they set themselves beautifully, or they may be pure and new, or gentle. I feel that these things are very tired of me.
I just think that people have to have different aspects, which can be rough, gentle, delicate, or shameless. I think this is better.
