Getting connected with French literature

　　Zheng Klue was born in 1939.

He has been engaged in the translation, research and teaching of French literature throughout his life, and is a well-known Chinese translator and foreign literature researcher.

　　In 1957, Zheng Kru was admitted to Peking University to study French.

He once said that the path of research and translation is the result of the interweaving of opportunities and hard work. The choice to learn French is entirely accidental.

　　However, he has since forged an indissoluble bond with French literature.

Later, Zheng Kru was admitted to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for a master's degree, under the tutelage of the famous writer and translator Li Jianwu.

　　These experiences laid a good foundation for his future academic research and translation work.

Zheng Kluo has translated "Les Miserables", "La Traviata" and other works, and many translations have received good response.

　　Zheng Kluo's translation level is extremely high.

Zhu Zhenwu remembered such a trivial matter: "Once I translated a few poems and searched for several dictionaries, I couldn't find the meanings of those words."

　　So he went to Zheng Kluo for help.

After reading these little poems quickly, Zheng Kru told Zhu Zhenwu that these words are generally not available in the dictionary, and pointed out the meaning of those words in the context, and put the printing paper on his knees. , Translate these little poems directly into Chinese.

　　Zhu Zhenwu remembered that Zheng Kluo was still translating "The Complete Works of Hugo" when he was in his eighties. With a translation volume of over one million words, he translated it in less than two years, which was remarkable.
