The lessons of the spread of the Corona virus are endless in all areas of life. The virus entered and gave us lessons for the present and the future, and the smart one is the one who draws these lessons and lessons, and makes from them a success roadmap for the future, protecting it from falling into the mistakes of the pre-Corona phase, and helping it to overcome all Challenges, in the event of other viruses appearing ... in the medium or long term.

Perhaps one of the most important lessons that the Corona virus has taught us is that the saying: “Prevention is better than cure” is not just a passing sentence, which we repeat without working or convinced of it, but rather it is the basis of health and wellness, and it is the beginning of all treatment steps, and perhaps this appeared in all It is clear when the severity of the spread of "Corona" rises, as there was no solution to combat it except by protecting oneself from it by strengthening the immune system, or by intensifying precautionary measures, and there was no treatment mentioned.

It is our problem from the beginning, it is repeated over time, and it is our same problem with chronic diseases that are increasing in prevalence, and lead to human losses, and large material losses that may not be clearly visible, this problem is the weakness of methods, methods and plans to prevent diseases, and lies in the fact that our health system is still It is based on the concept of curative medicine, and it did not establish preventive medicine that can combat the most dangerous diseases.

To indicate the above, let us study the consequences and the size of the financial cost of any disease, compare it with the cost of prevention, and compare, analyze and study the number of workers specializing in the field of public health, health promotion and preventive medicine, with the number of workers in curative medicine, certainly the difference is clear, the comparison is unfair, and certainly not It means that their equality is what is required, it is unreasonable, but what is required is to focus on preventive medicine as a realistic and important method for preventing diseases, not as formal administrations that do not practically exercise the desired tasks with professionalism and clear strategies.

In order to put our hand on the wound, we have to rely on local studies of the health situation, and we must identify its weaknesses - if any - before its strengths, explore threats and opportunities, and put in place appropriate plans and procedures for each threat or opportunity, and I do not think that this is difficult.

Relying on preventive medicine means the need to devote early detection to individuals, change the lifestyle, and the need for government support to intervene, by enacting legislation and laws, providing facilities that would help promote the required change, and imposing laws to compel the patient to early examinations.

The more preventive medicine efforts increased, the more burdens of the health system decreased, which contributes to saving billions, and reduces treatment spending by 50%, and preventive medicine prevents the transmission of infectious diseases and the development of non-communicable diseases, by focusing mainly on the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles. To avoid diseases and health problems, as well as to protect, promote and maintain public health, and to enjoy a healthy lifestyle, whether on a large scale or on an individual basis, and this is the essence of fighting Corona ... and other viruses!
