Roland Utbult is the cultural policy spokesperson for the Christian Democrats.

He thinks that many of the government's investments are necessary, given the situation the country is in. On the other hand, he lacks measures for the culture of civil society.

- When sports and culture have received great support, we have lacked corresponding support for civil society organizations and associations.

These have been forgotten, says Utbult.

"A takeover necessary"

The Sweden Democrats' cultural policy spokesman Aron Emilsson rather lacks investments in cultural heritage, cultural environment and outdoor life.

- A rethink of both cultural policy goals and means is more than necessary, he says.

In addition to this, Emilsson wants to see even stronger support for the actors affected financially by the pandemic.

- Important here and now will be reasonable security, adjustment and restart for the actors who are dependent on participants and audiences in their activities as well as cultural actors in the hospitality industry such as the country's museums.

The budget does not address the issues that Swedish cultural life, community and cohesion so desperately need.

"It is important that they receive support"

The Moderates also see it as urgent to support corona-affected cultural actors, especially small business owners.

- Many of the cultural workers I have talked to have private companies and it is important that they get the support they need, says the Moderates' economic policy spokesperson Elisabeth Svantesson.
