  Liang Yihao, coordinator of the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention and Disease Surveillance of the Health Bureau, said that the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization will give priority to providing vaccines to high-risk areas, so the time for supply to Macau will be relatively late. For this reason, the SAR government is working with other vaccines. Contact the supplier to discuss the purchase of vaccines.

Based on two doses per resident, the total amount of vaccines purchased by the SAR government is about 1.4 million doses.

  The Mainland will fully resume processing of visas for travel to Australia on September 23, followed by the "Eleventh" Golden Week. It is expected that a large number of tourists will enter Macau, which will bring severe challenges to Macau's epidemic prevention work.

Liu Fengchi, director of the Public Relations Office of the Tourism Bureau, said that the authorities are using various channels to promote Macau's epidemic prevention guidelines and information to mainland tourists, reminding them to pay attention to epidemic prevention when traveling in Australia.

At the same time, Macau’s tourism and hotel industries are required to strictly abide by the Health Bureau’s epidemic prevention guidelines and maintain a good epidemic prevention environment.
