  • On Facebook, a post that purports to reveal footballer Keylor Navas' September 2019 salary slip has gone viral again in recent days.

    A compensation advisor explains to

    20 Minutes

why he thinks this document is genuine.

  • PSG do not wish to make comments and the goalkeeper explained himself by leaving doubt during a press conference in 2019.

  • According to

    L'Equipe

, which regularly publishes the ranking of the best paid footballers, Keylor Navas earned, in February 2020, 1 million euros gross per month.

" It's incredible […].

In a salary, it is already good for the whole of life.

A document has been circulating again virally on Facebook since Sunday: it would be, according to the authors of the publication, a copy of a salary slip from footballer Keylor Navas.

A payslip that made Internet users react and gave rise to many comments.

According to this document, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper, transferred to PSG in the summer of 2019, received 614,254 euros in September 2019, after deducting income taxes from a net amount of 860,582 euros.

The player would therefore earn more than 7 million euros per year.

"Just look at his taxes, you won't even pay them all your life!"

"," I should have chosen football when I was younger, "comment amused some Facebook users.

The document had already circulated on Twitter in the fall of 2019, where it had been widely commented.

The name mentioned on the document, Navas Gamboa Kailor Antonio, is that of the player.

The beginning of the Social Security number also corresponds to his date of birth, in December 1986: 1 86 12… The employer's address, at the top left, corresponds to that of the PSG training center.

The Siret number also corresponds, while the footballer is domiciled at the club's head office, at the Parc des Princes.

An address that could be explained by the arrival of the player in Paris at the beginning of September 2019.

"For me, there is no doubt: this payslip is authentic," said

20 Minutes

Quentin Guézénec, compensation advisor in the financial consulting firm Prominis.

"Or you would have to be a really, really competent forger!"

But there are details that are not misleading, really very technical calculations.

For example, Navas took office on September 2 (this is his first payroll), not on the 1st.

However, the social security ceiling taken into account for social contributions is indeed made over these 29 days out of 30. "

Other indications catch the eye of the expert: “The benefits in kind mentioned on the report, such as stadium seats for relatives to attend matches, are a reality.

On the other hand, all the rates are fair and, finally, the impatriation bonus is well calculated.

This bonus, provided for in article 155B of the general tax code, allows foreign players or French people who have spent the last five years abroad to subtract 30% of their remuneration from tax for eight years.

Keylor Navas thus benefits from a reduction of over 300,000 euros.

In total, the player earns nearly 1 million euros gross.

"So much the better if it makes some laugh"

, Paris Saint-Germain does not wish to make "any comment on the subject".

But at the time when this document was released, in October 2019, at a press conference, Keylor Navas spoke himself, without denying, but with irony: "Do not be surprised if in the future you see that I buy a villa in Miami, a building in China or a house in Paris.

I imagine there are a lot of people who are bored and do this stuff.

It's sad, but that's how it is.

Me, it doesn't matter to me.

So much the better if it makes some people laugh.

What interests me is football.

Unfortunately, there are things like that that happen.

But I insist, do not be surprised if one day you see that I have a private jet in my name.

"

In October 2019, the newspaper

L'Equipe

, for its part, confirmed that, "according to Spanish sources close to the player, PSG pays him 1 million euros gross monthly […].

With such emoluments, the Costa Rican [naturalized Spanish], quarter-finalist of the Brazilian World Cup, knocks on the door of the top 5 Parisian, just behind the quinté which is composed as follows, in order: Neymar, Kylian Mbappé, Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva and Angel Di Maria.

"

In February 2020, the daily reviews the ranking and Navas returns to 8th place in gross monthly salaries in Ligue 1: “Thanks to their recent extensions, Marco Verratti and Marquinhos are now winning nearly twice what they were receiving. last year at the same time.

And

L'Equipe

concluded: "Could Paris-SG attract all these talents if it did not pay so well?"

And these guys, looked at with envy by the whole of Europe, would they stay in Paris, in a Championship without great passion or real interest, played and won in advance, if they did not see their conditions regularly reviewed at the rise ?

"

It should be noted that, since the coronavirus epidemic, the club in the capital is considering halving the salaries of some of its stars whose incomes exceed 100,000 euros per month, in accordance with the recommendations of the League and the UNFP (Union national professional footballers).
