Rice was harvested by the owner of the rice field at "Shiroyone Senmaida", a tourist attraction in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture.

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, participants are working separately during the holidays.

In order to maintain the scenery of "Shiroyone Senmaida", which is designated as a national scenic spot, Wajima City and others have established an owner system for 13 years to experience rice cultivation.

Rice is harvested on one day of the holiday in September every year, but this time, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the owner and volunteers will work eight times during this consecutive holiday. I decided to do it.

On the morning of the 21st, about 20 owners gathered from the prefecture, the metropolitan area, the Tokai region, etc., first measured the body temperature and then used a sickle to harvest Koshihikari.

The owners of rice fields have also participated in rice planting every year, but due to the spread of the infection, local volunteers and others have participated, and the owners can only harvest rice.

A 57-year-old man from Aichi Prefecture said, "Next year, the infection will subside and I definitely want to participate in rice planting."

The harvested rice will be dried in the sun and then delivered to each owner after the end of next month.
