Some changes began to take place in the configuration of the Belarusian protest, which, however, were inevitable.

The opposition conducts the events themselves according to the established scheme: on Saturday women go out into the streets, on Sunday a civil action is held.

But if earlier about 100 thousand people gathered at Sunday events, then this Sunday the protesters missed more than half of their supporters.

Actually, the owner of the NEXTA Telegram channel complained about the insufficient number of participants on the air of the YouTube channel from Yuri Dud.

The fact that the riots are on the decline was clear before, however, apparently, their organizers do not lose hope of achieving a result.

NEXTA posted personal data of hundreds of Belarusian security officials on its pages, urging the protesters to place them on the posters with which people go to the rallies.

And here, which is very significant, there was a misfire.

The opposition did not dare to follow the advice from Poland.

That is, the oppositionists considered it risky and unnecessary to raise the degree of confrontation to uncompromising hostility.

This means that it will not be possible to change the prevailing vegetarian (if compared with Ukraine in 2013-2014) format of the protest.

There will be no harsh clashes with riot police, no attempts to find such a facet of confrontation beyond which any dialogue would be impossible.

And this is the main feature of the Belarusian situation - Lukashenka's opponents are in no hurry to get to the point of no return.

You can say goodbye to Belarusian protests.

Their inertial course is coming to naught right before our eyes, but this does not mean that Old Man has won a complete victory.

Quite the opposite.

Lukashenka learned that he would have to rule in a completely different country.

Not in the one who was obedient and patient, responding to his every wish, but in the one where he is no longer an irreplaceable leader.

These days, videos of opponents of the Belarusian "Maidan" began to appear in large numbers on various social networks.

It became clear that these are normal, motivated people who do not want a repeat of the Ukrainian events.

It is also interesting how the opposition is changing its rhetoric.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya in her extensive interview said a lot about fraternal relations between the Russian and Belarusian peoples.

This turning point did not happen yesterday - a little earlier.

It is a vivid evidence of the fact that most of the Belarusian society treats Russia as a relative and a friend.

You can forget about the crisis in Belarus for a while.

The opposition is fizzling out, the authorities are showing a high readiness to respond to protests.

The problem is that Alyaksandr Lukashenka has lost absolute loyalty and he can now link the possibility of maintaining power only with his own departure.

This means a constitutional reform, new rules of the game and a successor who will continue to rule Belarus.
