They had escaped the restrictions for a weekend.

Toulouse bars and restaurants will be subject to new restriction measures from Wednesday morning to fight against the coronavirus epidemic.

Last Friday, the prefect of Haute-Garonne had suggested that new restrictions could be taken on Monday if the contamination figures worsened.

While on Friday the incidence rate was 147.8 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the department and 225.7 cases for the town of Toulouse, it continued to develop unfavorably in Haute-Garonne over the weekend reaching 159.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on Sunday.

The department therefore finds itself with higher rates than those of the Gironde or the Alpes-Maritimes.

In fact, the prefect decided to impose the closure of bars and restaurants from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. in the town of Toulouse and to ban all events bringing together more than 1,000 people throughout the department.

If the Stade Toulousain match passed between the drops on Sunday, the Toulouse Fair which was to open on Saturday September 26 for ten days should not be able to take place.
