Picking up a cup of freshly made hand-made coffee, Huang Wenjie, dressed in casual clothes, sniffed it with his nose, then sucked the coffee vigorously and made a "sizzle" sound like drinking soup.

After feeling the mellow aroma of coffee in his nose, he jokingly said: "I want to open a coffee shop in the mainland into a century-old shop, but it is still 87 years away."

Huang Wenjie, who was born in Mengjia, Taipei, worked in printing, insurance and other industries. At the age of 30, he carried two large suitcases and started to enter the mainland. He became an executive in an IT company in Shanghai.

Entering the age of confidence, he felt that he should do something meaningful in his second half of his life.

For this reason, Huang Wenjie and his wife immediately thought of opening a coffee shop, and then resolutely quit their jobs and "joined" the coffee industry.

In 2007, Huang Wenjie's first boutique cafe was born in Changsha, Hunan. The name of the shop was derived from his hometown and birthday, and it was named Mengjia 423 Cafe.

In Huang Wenjie's view, the coffee shop sells not only good coffee, but also a warm feeling like home-human touch.

The fragrance of coffee, scholarship, and human affection. Huang Wenjie, who prefers philosophy, uses three "scents" to describe the characteristics of his cafe.

"Coffee fragrance" means to guide customers to find coffee that suits their taste, "Science" is to explain to customers the popular coffee culture, "Human love fragrance" is the "soul" of the coffee shop that Huang Wenjie said.

Taiwan's Mengjia style coffee shop, which promotes humane services, has gradually become popular in Changsha, and has developed into a coffee chain brand store in more than 10 years.

Franchise stores are "chained but not copied". They are named after the store manager. They operate with their own heart. There are currently 20 coffee chain stores, and there is a wall at the entrance of each store that reads "Respect for others equals respect for yourself "The words.

Because of the comfortable climate in Guiyang and the fact that his wife is from Guizhou, Huang Wenjie has opened three branches in Guiyang since 2013.

There is an elite coffee team in the shop, focusing on making specialty coffee, while Huang Wenjie retires behind the scenes to be responsible for the cultivation of the coffee team.

Over the past 13 years, Mengga 423 Cafe has cultivated 8 award-winning baristas, including two judges from national competitions and an international coffee taster.

In the view of barista Wang Dong, the influence of Taiwan compatriots on the mainland coffee industry not only teaches "how to make a good cup of coffee", but also lies in the cultivation of talents and the spread of lifestyle.

"Slowly, it will be faster." This is a saying Huang Wenjie often said to young shop assistants.

In the future, he plans to open a training base in Guiyang to teach young people how to make coffee to pass on Taiwan's coffee skills, because in his opinion, there is huge room for the development of the coffee industry in the mainland as a whole.

"I will visit the coffee shop regularly to taste the taste of coffee and see what customers say."

Huang Wenjie said that opening a coffee shop is not a way of getting rich, but it is enough to be spiritually rich, hoping to open the coffee shop into a "century-old shop."

After the interview, the reporter sat at the simple coffee long table of Mengjia Coffee, drinking the creative coffee freshly brewed by the clerk, without sugar and milk. The sour and bitterness of the coffee is so soft that the taste buds are not offensive, but after a slight stimulation. Gushing sweetness.
