“Abdel Samad” suffers from poor hearing and needs a stethoscope

The Pakistani child (Abdul Samad), aged three, suffers from a hearing impairment, which was medically classified as a "profound sensory hearing impairment", which he suffered since his birth.

According to Tawam Hospital, the patient needs a stethoscope, which costs 11,600 dirhams.

He appealed to the father of the child with good hearts from the well-to-do, to help him buy the medical stethoscope that his son needs, so that he can interact with his surroundings and practice his life normally.

The father narrated the story of his son to “Emirates Today”, saying that (Abdul Samad) is his only son, and his birth was accompanied by several health problems, including his inability to hear, which makes him confined to himself, as if he lives on an isolated island from the world, where there is nothing around him Only complete silence.

He added: “We did not discover this tragedy until some time after his birth, specifically after his transfer to Tawam Hospital, where doctors examined him and found that he suffers from hearing loss.

They decided that the best treatment for him is to install a stethoscope, which helps him communicate with others.

The father added: “One of the benefactors helped me provide a stethoscope about three years ago, but the problem is that it has a default life of three years,” pointing out that it no longer works as required, so that his child's suffering will recur with his need for another stethoscope.

He explained that “the use of the stethoscope had a great positive effect on (Abdul Samad )’s behavior, as he was extremely happy while he listened to our voices, as if life had changed for him, or as if it had turned him into a natural person, able to interact with what is going on around him, Because it allowed him to hear my voice and his mother's voice, and to communicate with us.

But the situation changed after the end of the life span of the headset ».

He added: “My financial situation is limited, and I am not allowed to buy a stethoscope. I work in a government agency with a salary of 4,300 dirhams, and I am not able to afford the cost of the stethoscope.

I don't know how I will act in the circumstances I am going through.

I appeal to people of good and merciful hearts to help me secure the cost of hearing aids so that my child can practice his normal life.

"(Abd al-Samad) doctors decided that his ideal treatment is to install a stethoscope that helps him communicate with others."
