West Japan's Largest Manga / Anime Trade Fair Begins with Scale Reduction Kyoto September 19, 20:09

One of the largest trade fairs in western Japan that introduces manga and anime has started in Kyoto City, reducing the capacity to less than half and reducing the scale from the usual year to prevent infection with the new coronavirus.

This "Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair" is held every year by Kyoto City and publishers, and 44 companies and organizations have set up booths at the main venue "Miyakomesse" in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, which is the latest. Figures and goods are on display.

Among them, at the booth of the movie theater in Kyoto City, posters of the new movie that "Kyoto Animation" completed for the first time after the arson attack last year were introduced, and many fans were watching.

At the venue, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the scale will be reduced by setting up an hourly ticket to limit the number of visitors, so that the capacity will be about 3000 people, which is less than half the capacity. I was adjusting.

Visitors were also required to register for a service that would notify them by email if an infected person was found.

A man in his 40s who visited said, "I'm lonely because there are fewer people than usual, but I was wondering if it would be held due to the spread of infection, so I'm glad it was held."

The trade fair will be open until the 20th, and the number of visitors for the two days is expected to be about 20,000, half of last year.
