The international context has tended to deteriorate over the past ten years.

The world is more uncertain.

Publicity

The areas of confrontation are multiplying near Europe: Turkey and the Eastern Mediterranean, Ukraine, Libya, Sahel… in a context of exacerbated technological war and strong strategic competition between China and EEUU.

In addition, for Europe, there is uncertainty about the American umbrella and divergent opinions around the creation of a European defense ensuring the strategic autonomy of the Old Continent desired by France.

The Covid-19 and the crisis generated by the very sharp slowdown in economic activity add worry to the uncertainty.

Concern about the consequences of the pandemic on budgets and the shares allocated to Defense.

The question arises everywhere ... in Europe, in the USA where we see the "hawks" defending the Pentagon credits after the trillions of dollars injected in the support of the American economy.

The question worries up to the NATO summit, already weakened by the criticisms of Donald Trump and the policies of the Turkish president.

Look at future priorities and the challenges for states in terms of defense.

How is the pandemic redistributing the cards?
