Is the Gwangju family killer the same as the one-room arson killer in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju?

SBS'I want to know that' broadcasted on the 19th re-examined the unsolved case in 2006, the one-room arson murder case in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, with the subtitle'The killer with a flower basket-Is he a visitor to Room 205?'

The production crew received a phone call. The informant is that there is a suspicion of the killer of the family murder case in Gwangju in 2014. According to his claim, there was another murder case suspected of being committed by the killer Kim.

The informant met Kim at a prison in Jeju 14 years ago. At the time, Mr. Kim broke into a female dormitory at a university and was serving a sex crime. However, it turned out that Kim posted a confession of the crime on his social media at the time of the incident, left a note informing him of himself at the scene of the incident, and even went to the police station to surrender himself. And the informant said that Kim's behavior was somewhat strange.

The informant speculated that Kim's sexual crime was deliberately committed in order to avoid the law in this case, as a leading suspect in the arson murder case in a studio in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju-si, a month before the crime.

Accordingly, the prosecutor who was in charge of the Gwangju family case had a similar view.

He explained to Kim's crime, "It was a ridiculous incident. It kills people so easily. I thought it might not be the first murder, saying that the method and target of the murder were different from ordinary crimes."

Kim, who left the scene after killing three members of his family in about two hours, and the court of his crimes also evaluated that the crime was bold and cruel to be considered the first murder.

The former prosecutor said, "Because of the thought that his crime was not the first murder, I was going to review the arson case of Nohyeong-dong's studio murder while looking into the past cases. I also borrowed all the records from Jeju, and I thought that Mr. Kim was the real offender. “If I had been prosecuted and tried and sentenced at the time, there would not have been a murder case in Gwangju,” he expressed regret.

In addition, he evaluated the dormitory sex crime case as "a person who can commit a rape crime to cover up the arson murder in 2006."

It can be analyzed that the murder of two additional family members who returned home after killing only the victim Choi at the time of the Gwangju incident was a person who could do more serious work to cover up his crimes.

In fact, the detectives who investigated the studio case of Nohyeong-dong at the time also interpreted that the sex crime in the dormitory was a crime of escape.

At the time, however, Kim was not accused of the prosecution, and the Nohyeong-dong studio arson murder case remains a US case.

In particular, although a cigarette butt with confirmed Kim's DNA was found in the Nohyeong-dong studio, this was not adopted as conclusive evidence.

If so, what was this?

Kim was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his family in Gwangju.

The court judged the case as an accidental murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment, not the death penalty, under the circumstances that he had not prepared a murder tool in advance but rather bought a bouquet for the victim.

At the time, the investigator in charge of the case said, "My feelings changed sharply. My feelings changed sharply after becoming hot and sensitive," and said, "When I investigated the Jeju case, I showed considerable anger. Why ask me about the ended criminal record? Hana responded," he explained.

Regarding the reason the cigarette butt was not adopted as a decisive clue in the Nohyeong-dong arson murder case, the family members of the case said, "At the time, it was not found in the first sensation, but something that was found in the second sensation may have been deliberately left by someone to deceive him. I got off."

The prosecution doubted the authenticity of cigarette butts at the time.

And Mr. Kim also claimed that it was fabricated evidence.

Mr. Kim's mother refused to respond to the reporters, and did not respond to the report.

And he expressed his thoughts, saying that he would like to inform the truth about the repeated persuasion of the production crew.

His mother said, "There were a lot of contradictions in the police investigation process. There were no cigarette butts during the first examination, and I came out of the scene during the second examination. After the first examination, I asked my girlfriend what cigarettes my son smokes, and then the scene was done. "It's a cigarette butt."

In addition, his mother said, "And at the time of the incident, my son was in a PC room. I even submitted a record that he was in the PC room. At the time, the detectives in charge of the case accused him of such a crime, and the investigators were intent on He argued that it would have been manipulated with

Accordingly, the production team found the detectives who were in charge of the case at the time.

But they all refused to report.

Accordingly, the first informant in the case said that it seems likely that the detectives would know the reason for avoiding coverage.

He testified that the detectives were plagued by Mr. Kim, saying, "I saw him write a complaint against the police after being charged with nothing."

In addition, the informant asked, "The perfume necklace ring the victim had at the time was found by Kim's girlfriend. It was said that he obtained it from the paper bag he picked up on the way to the PC room. Isn't it a coincidence?"

And after a long persuasion, the Jeju police revealed their position on the cigarette butt found in the studio in Nohyeong-dong.

The police said, "We couldn't find it during the first round of detection, and three days after the incident, we did a precise search and found it inside the studio."

A different opinion from Kim's claim that it was found around the studio.

The police said, "Before the surrender of the dormitory incident, I asked for an appraisal of the cigarette butt, and after the dormitory incident, I confirmed that the DNA matches Mr. Kim. How do I know in advance that Mr. Kim will commit a crime in the future and manipulate the evidence?" Said.

Also, there was no record of accessing Kim's computer log records at the time of the estimated time of murder and arson.

At that time, there was a time difference between murder and arson, and in the case of murder, it is assumed that arson took place around 12 o'clock on February 17 and around 0 o'clock on 18, but Kim's alibi is not confirmed at these two times.

Also, the victim's studio was an 8-minute drive from the PC room where Kim was.

He also argued that it was not convincing that he accidentally picked up the victim's mementos and presented it to his girlfriend.

At the same time, he asked the prosecutors to ask the prosecutors about the reason for the innocence.

Accordingly, the production crew requested the release of the record containing the reason for the innocence.

But the prosecution refused.

While looking for a way to find out the reason for the innocence, the production crew confirmed that at the time of the incident, Kim's side applied for mediation to the media arbitration committee against media companies.

Also, among those subject to adjustment, SBS was included, and the production crew personally looked for related documents, thinking that the documents at the time may remain.

And, as if responding to this effort, I was able to find the documents at the time with the reasons for innocence.

At the time, the prosecution also suspected a cigarette butt in good condition.

It is difficult to find such cigarette butts at the burnt site.

In addition, murder and arson are consequential, and the beginning of the case is due to money and sex, and a somewhat subjective judgment that there is no reason to kill the victim in order to obtain money is one of the reasons for innocence by Kim, who has a record of withdrawing 700,000 won before the incident. Was.

And contrary to the thought of the police who speculated that the dormitory case was deliberately committed to avoid the Nohyeong-dong case, the prosecution decided that the criminal of the Nohyeong-dong case would not deliberately commit a felony crime in an unspecified period.

In addition, definitively, citing the possibility that someone may have intentionally brought the cigarette butts found in Room 205 and the results of the Noodles, it is 100% pinned by Mr. Kim that it may not be Kim's DNA as one in 820 million. The cigarette butt lost its power as evidence by the judgment that it could not be concluded that it was a cigarette butt.

Experts were confused, "It is unlikely that it will be 1 in 820 million. Isn't this an attempt to destroy scientific grounds and make them innocent?"

Another expert also expressed the view that "didn't conclude the suspicion and concluded with distrust in the police investigation".

He added that he may have made such a judgment with doubts about the police that he did not understand the DNA or that the evidence came out three days after the incident.

At the time, a member of the forensic investigation team said, "I don't know why it loses the validity of the evidence. I took a picture of the found cigarette butt and found the butt later while the site was completely preserved. But I doubted how it could come out of the burnt room." "But if it's around clothes, it could be preserved that way," he explained.

A former fire inspector said, "The burnt place is not completely burned and only the ashes remain. That is wansoda," and said, "Even if the fire is severe, the floor does not burn very much."

Accordingly, the production crew re-enacted the scene of the incident to see if it would be possible for the cigarette butt to remain without burning.

Experts pointed out where the cigarette butts were found through experiments, "we usually call these areas protected areas." "What can be done is scientifically possible."

And the expert pointed out, "It is not convincing to end the case without charges. Even if you are not guilty in the future, it is correct to prosecute. The prosecution is not the Supreme Judge, so why do you make the final judgment?"

In addition, experts who analyzed the grounds for innocent disposition pointed out that "there are only ambiguous expressions about the place where cigarette butts were found," and "It is presumed that the prosecutor in charge deliberately made an ambiguous expression. If there was an exact expression that was found inside the studio, the disposition was not accused. It may not have been done easily,” he said.

The arson incident of Nohyeong-dong's murder, in which unusual events were repeated.

The reporter who covered the case at the time said, "I met the prosecutor in charge after an unprosecution. The prosecutor was not the investigation commander. The investigation commander left overseas training and another prosecutor took over."

The expert pointed out, "Looking at the reasons for non-prosecution, the only thing the prosecution has investigated on this is a lie detector or something like that. Actually, there is not much that has been investigated."

In addition, he speculated, "The reason why he was not accused of staying for 8 months without prosecuting the case immediately was because he was busy with his work, and did not get involved in his work, and even the prosecutor who was handed over was judged by only looking at the records."

The incident occurred in 2006, but it wasn't until 2007 that the sibling number was attached to the murder of an Nong Hyung-dong.

To clarify this reason, the production crew tried several times to cover the prosecutor at the time.

However, it was difficult to meet the prosecutor at the time.

And I could hear the prosecution's story that this could be done if the prosecution was stopped at the time limit for the delay in prosecution at the time.

In this regard, an expert said, "It is not common to suspend prosecution for a limited time. In this case, it is not natural."

Regarding the circumstances in which various suspicions must be raised, the expert said, "Such doubts are not irrational. I don't think they are absurd."

Finally, the interview with the prosecutor at that time could not be conducted.

Accordingly, the prosecution said, "It is a case that has been investigated according to laws and principles, and since it is difficult to remember accurately and may cause unnecessary controversy after more than 10 years have passed, the interview with the prosecutor in charge is deemed inappropriate and cannot respond to the interview." Delivered.

At the time, the prosecution pointed out his crimes, saying that it is difficult to say that he committed murder and arson with only a cigarette butt.

In his past crimes, the circumstances of binding or silence are revealed, but No Hyeong-dong's case does not.

Accordingly, the expert said, "The small bubbles from the mouth and nose are traces of pulmonary edema due to difficult breathing, and it is difficult to suffocate just by being buried in bedding," he said.

He also explained, "It would have covered the nose and mouth with something rather than simply pressing it, pointing out the wavy wrinkles and the deprivation of the epidermis found around the victim's cheeks. It is highly likely that an adhesive tape or a gagged was used."

And for the absence of such evidence, he removed the evidence at the second visit, saying, "The evidence of binding or silencing to prevent rebellion would have been removed prior to arson. The difference between this incident and other incidents is that he visited the site twice." He said that the possibility is high.

The expert advised on this case, "Recently, the investigation council between the police and the prosecution has been in operation, and a system of constant cooperation has been established. Here, you can find a solution to this case."

Accordingly, the broadcast promised to help anything if a re-investigation occurs.
