Kane Tanaka, 117, from Fukuoka City, who is recognized as the oldest person in the world by the Guinness World Records, was on the 18th, lining up with the oldest record in Japan.

Kako Tanaka of Fukuoka City was born on January 2, 1868, and will be 117 years old and 260 days old on the 18th.



According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, it is in line with the record of Mr. Nabi Tajima of Kagoshima Prefecture, who is the oldest person in history in Japan and died.



Mr. Tanaka currently lives in a welfare facility for the elderly in Fukuoka City and likes chocolate and sparkling drinks.
