Nobody saw it coming, and yet, a few days after the announcement of the departure of Jean-Pierre Pernaut from
13 hours
of TF1, his replacement was found: Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, current presenter of
13 hours
of France 2 and also host of the show
Prodiges
.
She will succeed him on January 4, but stops the France 2 newscast, with immediate effect.
As revealed by Le Parisien, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau announced her departure to Laurent Guimier, new boss of the news at France Televisions, Thursday afternoon, and “quick announcement, quick start”.
The presenter is thus exempt from notice, and is replaced on Friday by Nathanaël de Rincquesen.
She will not be able to say goodbye to the viewers of France 2. A radical decision… and a bad buzz to come for France 2?
Everything is accelerating ... and she accepts
Le Parisien
says that France Télévisions saw nothing coming.
This might explain that.
On the TF1 side, Thierry Thuillier has known since the spring that Jean-Pierre Pernaut wants to hang up, and contacted Marie-Sophie Lacarrau at the start of the school year.
He knows her, he had named her the joker of Elise Lucet at
1 p.m.
of France 2 when he was still the news boss at France Televisions.
Marie-Sophie Lacarrau took the time to think it over until Jean-Pierre Pernaut made her departure official.
"Unless France 2 had offered him the
20 hours
, the
13 hours
of TF1, that cannot be refused", comments, still in
Le Parisien
, an editor in chief of France Televisions.
