Domestic airline group “Be sure to wear a mask at the airport or on board” September 18, 22:33

The regular airline association, which is made by domestic airlines before the four consecutive holidays, reminds us to wear masks at airports and on board.

The regular airline association, which is made up of 19 airlines in Japan, created guidelines for infection prevention measures for the new coronavirus in May, and based on this, airlines are encouraging passengers to wear masks.

However, there are cases where passengers who refuse to wear masks without telling the reason are judged to be acts that obstruct the captain's safety without following the instructions of the flight attendants, and the regular airport association has decided before the four consecutive holidays from 19th. In order to relieve passengers' anxieties on the website, we requested that they always wear masks at the airport and on board, and informed them that if there is a reason why it is difficult to wear them, they will be asked to inform them in advance.

In response to this, airline companies have decided to take resolute measures, including refusing boarding, if they do not accept wearing masks without explaining the reason.

The Regular Aviation Association says, "We want to make sure that the industry is working as one to avoid delays in departure and troubles on board by making thorough calls at the airport."
