An unexpected outcome for the 2020 Venice Film Festival

The Mostra 2020 will be remembered as the film festival which gave a very strong signal for cinema during the coronavirus crisis. 

This Mostra 2020, largely chaired by women, will serve as a reference for the organization of a festival in the era of Covid-19, the presence and the award of female filmmakers.

And all this without any compromise concerning the quality of the films presented.

No one will be surprised if

 38-year-old Chinese-American Chloé Zhao's

Golden Lion

Nomadland

will also be honored at the Oscars. 

No cases of Covid-19 were declared during the festival, thanks to perfect organization and strict health measures.

And the courage to organize the Mostra has been praised by filmmakers around the world.   

Venice has proven to be the epicenter of new values ​​in cinema.

For the first time, the directors of Europe's eight biggest film festivals have called for more solidarity and less competition. 

The Mostra 2020 is over, the change continues.
