Four departures during episode 4. Friday evening, three adventurers from

Koh-Lanta, The 4 lands

left the TF1 show at the end of the council.

And another, Samuel, was forced to withdraw from medicine following an injury.

His departure allowed Diane, eliminated last week, to return to competition in accordance with the rules.

Unfortunately for her, her return was only short-lived since her new team-mates, the Violets du Nord, voted unanimously against her during an improvised council following the immunity test.

The other two teams that lost the event - won by the Eastern Greens - also had to go through the board box.

On the orange side of the West, Estelle was forced to extinguish her torch.

Blue side of the South, reversal of situation: while Aubin was unanimous against him, he unsheathed his immunity collar.

Result: Mathieu, the 31-year-old professional runner, had to pack up with one voice against him and to everyone's surprise.

20 Minutes

spoke with him by phone on Thursday.

Looking back, how do you see your elimination?

Over time, I was able to sort things out.

It is true that I carried a lot of frustrations for several days, several weeks, even.

But above all, I remember having lived a wonderful adventure.

Come to think of it, I only have positive images.

Right after your elimination, you said you felt like you were in a nightmare ...

At the time, I saw a real shock.

I spoke of a nightmare because it seemed unreal to me.

When I saw my name on the ballot, I felt like I had to wake up.

Everything around me was moving, I wanted to throw up, it was terrifying.

It was when I met Denis [Brogniart] 's gaze that I realized that this was reality.

It hurt me a lot.

Didn't you know Aubin had found the immunity collar?

Absolutely not.

I was naive, come to think of it, there were things about his behavior over the past few days that might suggest he had the collar.

In the South team, we were too right, in the franchise with each other.

But some, like Aubin, were not.

When Aubin played his necklace, did you feel threatened?

I was at ease, for several reasons: I hadn't had a conflict with anyone, I had healthy relationships with everyone, I gave myself body and soul to the trials - when I could have kept some under the foot while waiting for the individual tests.

I thought this total dedication was going to be recognized.

Aubin made an unfair choice.

I didn't understand, and neither did the other team members.

Aubin explained his vote by the fact that you would have approached Alix.

Did you make an alliance with her?

This is one reason among others.

He gave me several, sometimes even contradicting himself.

He may not have given the real reason.

This alliance story is completely wrong.

Certainly, it is my word against his.

I have never signed a firm pact with Alex, Sébastien or Ava.

He may have had that impression, but he made up his mind.

What is the "real" reason that you think made him vote against you?

For me, he is frustrated with himself and he wanted to dispel that by voting against me.

There may have been a form of jealousy over what I am capable of doing.

In Episode 3, after he finds the Immunity Collar, he admits it himself: He wasn't up to par in games and he wasn't doing much on camp.

He must have been in need of attention and he used this tool that is the collar to create the buzz.

Afterwards, is it going to be positive or negative for him?

We'll see.

Have you had a discussion with Aubin since?

Yes, we have a common WhatsApp group with the other candidates.

There is no animosity, we are friends, but it is true that I do not have with him the relationship of trust that I can have with others.

I tried to get him to give me the real motivations that pushed him to eliminate me but he always comes back to the reasons already given.

Or he brings up new ones - like the fact that I wasn't talking to him.

It is never clear.

But I didn't tell her the bottom of my mind.

It's not for me to tell him that.

If he reads this interview, he will know ...

I say what I think today to whoever wants to hear it.

If he had come to see me to ask me the question directly, I would have answered him.
