She had not been found since the tragic shipwreck on March 10.

The wreck of the Korrigan was located on Wednesday in the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, off Cancale (Ille-et-Vilaine).

The Atlantic Maritime Prefecture specified that it was the use of sonar that enabled this location.

The sinking of the motorboat had claimed the lives of the four men who had gone fishing on board on that calm day in March.

A long research work of several weeks carried out by the maritime gendarmerie brigade of Saint-Malo made it possible to advance the investigation.

Divers and sonar were used to locate the five to six meter vessel.

On Wednesday, the French Navy deployed its “L'Aigle” mine hunter in the area to confirm the position.

The refloating operations to bring the boat to the surface are due to end this Thursday.

The @MarineNationale then deployed the CMT L'Aigle to the area to confirm the position.

The ship's carcass may help families learn more about this dramatic shipwreck, which claimed the lives of four men aged between 60 and 75.

Their bodies were found shortly after the tragedy in the bay, causing sadness and incomprehension.
