The Dutch editor Henk Van Eeghen won a Creative Arts Emmy in the night from Wednesday to Thursday (Dutch time) for the editing of the action series
Watchmen
, he reports to NU.nl.
"My wife Linda and I had the laptop on during the online ceremony, but I was not paying attention," Van Eeghen told NU.nl from Los Angeles.

was Van Eeghen's sixth chance at an Emmy.
The editor, who assembles separate moving images into a whole in a film or series, already won the prize in 2010 for the series

'Nice token of appreciation'
"I thought the new generation of filmmakers would be preferred. In addition, the episodes of
Watchmen
I edited were
mostly about romance and political topics are more popular this year," says the editor.
"But suddenly Linda jumped up. I asked what had happened and then she exclaimed, 'You won!'"
Van Eeghen has "a very nice feeling" about the profit and finds it "a nice token of appreciation".
The editor had pre-recorded a thank you message, which was played after his win.
“We were only given 30 seconds to thank the people we worked with,” explains the editor.
