An event was held to connect Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where grape production is prosperous, with Tokyo Ginza online, and let people living in Tokyo experience a simulated experience of grape hunting.

This event was opened by Ibaraki Prefecture in an attempt to promote local agricultural products while tourists were depressed due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

On the 17th, we connected the tourist farm in Hitachiota City and the antenna shop in the prefecture in Ginza, Tokyo, where 5 groups of 8 people living in Tokyo gathered online.

Then, after a tourist farmer explained using a tablet terminal that "grape with large grains and fruit is good," the participants in Tokyo chose a bunch that they liked, and the farmers chose it. I separated it from the branches and harvested it.

The grapes harvested on the 17th are a variety called "Shine Muscat" and will be delivered to the participants on the 18th.

A woman in her twenties who participated in Tokyo said, "It was a lot of fun to ask farmers questions rather than actually picking grapes. I'm looking forward to receiving the grapes."

Atsuko Tanikoshi, the team leader of the promotion team of the Ibaraki Prefecture Sales Strategy Department, who held the event, said, "I'm glad you were pleased. I want you to actually come this time."

This event will be held at the Vineyard in Mito City on the 24th of this month.
