No red carpet on the steps of the Palais des Festivals this winter for the stars of the song.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NRJ music awards ceremony "will take place exceptionally in Paris on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 9 p.m., live from the Seine Musicale, in a different format", announce NRJ, TF1 and the city of Cannes this Wednesday evening in a press release.
The decision was taken "in order to limit as much as possible the travel of artists, their companions and production teams" and "in perfect consultation between NRJ, TF1 and the town hall of Cannes", specifies their common text.
The great barnum of TF1 and NRJ should find its place on the Croisette from next year.
They also announced this Wednesday evening "the renewal of their tripartite partnership [with the city of Cannes] for two additional years until 2023".
