[Explanation] On September 14, with the assistance of the mainland nucleic acid testing support team, the Hong Kong New Coronavirus Popularized Community Testing Program was successfully concluded.

A total of 1.78 million Hong Kong citizens participated in the test and successfully identified at least 42 hidden patients.

On September 16, the members of the mainland nucleic acid testing support team successfully completed their mission and set off to return to the mainland, ending their nearly one and a half month trip.

Outside the Metropark Hotel in Kowloon, a large number of Hong Kong citizens saw off the mainland nucleic acid testing support team members in an orderly manner under the premise of complying with the "restriction order".

  [Explanation] At 6:30 in the morning of the same day, some citizens spontaneously came to the Metropark Hotel Kowloon. They held flowers, put national flag stickers on their faces, and held a banner of "Blood is thicker than water, love is boundless, and heartfelt thanks", waiting patiently for testing Team member.

  [Explanation] At 7 o'clock, the team members marched out of the hotel in a line, and many citizens who had heard the news lined up to send off. They shouted "Thank you" in Cantonese, and gave them hand-made greeting cards. Some citizens voluntarily helped the team members carry their luggage and expressed their gratitude to the support team members with practical actions.

The team members kept waving to Hong Kong citizens.

  [Explanation] On the same day, the Director of the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Zhaoshi, also specially came to the farewell site and presented the team members with a thank you card made by hand. The mainland nucleic acid testing support team also gave back the one made in the shape of the anti-epidemic support team. Give the doll to Chen Zhaoshi.

  We are very happy to be able to return to the Mainland today. We are also very happy in Hong Kong. It is unprecedented for hundreds of us to test hundreds of thousands of samples a day. It will be unforgettable for a lifetime. It is also an honor to be able to make some contributions to the people of Hong Kong.

  [Explanation] Long Ziming, executive vice chairman and secretary general of the Hong Kong Guangdong Association of Societies, led many members to the Metropark Hotel Kowloon to send off the mainland nucleic acid testing support team early.

Also present was Wu Huanyan, chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Societies. He led a group of Fujianese folks in Hong Kong to thank the mainland nucleic acid testing support team.

  They have made a lot of contributions in Hong Kong during this period. They have not only done a lot of tests for us, but after this test, they will not only (for) Hong Kong society, but also be very useful for how to deal with the epidemic in the future.

  They came to our Hong Kong epidemic prevention work, made a lot of contributions, and cut off the hidden transmission chain, and we have no confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia these days.

So today we are sending them off on behalf of millions of Fujianese folks.

  [Explanation] The support team members staying at the Huamei Guangdong Hotel in Wanchai, Hong Kong Island, also set off to return to the mainland at 7 o'clock in the morning. There were also a large number of citizens who came to express their gratitude.

  I am very grateful to the central government for this pioneering work for Hong Kong, and for testing the 1.78 million citizens of Hong Kong. Their professionalism and their tireless work have provided services to Hong Kong people. We are very grateful and thankful.
