Kawasaki City announced on the 16th that 31 new cases, including inpatients and nurses, were found at "Heartful Kawasaki Hospital," where an outbreak of the new coronavirus is occurring.

A total of 39 people have been infected with this hospital.

According to Kawasaki City, 26 patients in their 50s to 90s and nurses in their 20s to 50s were newly confirmed to be infected at "Heartful Kawasaki Hospital" in Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City. There are a total of 31 people, including 5 staff members such as associate nurses.



Of the inpatients, one man in his 70s is severely ill, one man in his 80s is moderately ill, and the other patients and staff are mild or asymptomatic.



The city announced on the 15th that a cluster of eight inpatients and nurses had occurred at this hospital, and as a result of testing 55 patients and staff in the same ward, infection was found in the hospital. It became clear that it was spreading.



The city will also inspect about 10 more staff members.



Since the route of the first infected person is unknown, the staff of the health center visits the hospital to investigate in detail.



In addition, the hospital has stopped accepting new inpatients for the time being from the 15th to prevent the spread of infection, and the outpatient department is limited to revisiting by telephone.
