(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) 9 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong, all local cases of unknown origin

  China News Service, Hong Kong, September 16 (Reporter Han Xingtong) The Health Protection Center of the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 16th that there were nine new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, namely imported cases and original local cases.

  As of 0:00 on the 16th, the Health Protection Center is investigating 9 newly confirmed cases. So far, the total number of cases in Hong Kong is 4,985, including 4,984 confirmed cases and one suspected case.

  Among the new cases, 4 were imported cases. The confirmed patients had been outside the country during the incubation period, and the rest were epidemiologically related to local cases, and they were active cases.

Currently, the Center for Health Protection is following up the epidemiological investigation of confirmed cases and the tracing of contacts.

As there were no new local cases of unknown origin that day, the CHP did not hold a routine briefing on the epidemic.

  On the same day, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) announced that as of 9 am on the 16th, a total of 17 confirmed patients had been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 4,663 confirmed or suspected patients have recovered and discharged.
