Russia drops a prison sentence for a wife who killed her husband, drunk with his knife

Russia's Saratov court overturned a 7.5-year prison sentence for premeditated murder for a wife who killed her husband in self-defense with his knife.

According to the Russian "Novosti" agency, the Novozinsky District Court in the district, on June 8, sentenced Aslima Slimova to 7.5 years in prison for premeditated murder.

The Court of Appeal found that the husband assaulted his wife and threatened her with a knife, and during that Salimova defended herself against the drunken husband who was brandishing a knife and making threats to her, and she took the knife from his hand and stabbed him twice, to die after that.

According to the investigation, Salimova's husband was diagnosed with cancer, did not receive treatment, smoked a lot and drank alcohol, and on the day of the accident he returned home drunk again, and acted aggressively before the accident.
