Comedian Kim Hyung-in was charged with opening and operating an illegal gambling house in downtown Seoul.

Kim Hyung-in is accused of opening an illegal gambling room in an officetel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul in early 2018 with his fellow comedian Choi Mo. As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that they made a'hold'em' game board similar to poker, arranged gambling with tens of thousands of won worth of bets and collected fees.



However, Kim Hyung-in denies the charges. He admitted to gambling once or twice, but insisted that he did not directly open an illegal gambling house.



In addition, in an interview with the media, "There is no fact of running an illegal gambling room. Rather, I plan to sue (the other party) after suffering intimidation and intimidation for 2 years." He threatened to blackmail and asked for money."



Under the current law, a person who opens a place or space for gambling for the purpose of profit is subject to imprisonment for up to 5 years or a fine of up to 30 million won. The first trial of them will be held at the Southern District Court in Seoul on the 21st of next month.



Kim Hyung-in debuted as a public comedian for the 7th SBS in 2003 and gained popularity through'Looking Up'. After the abolition of'Finding Out', he appeared in the tvN'Comedy Big League'. Recently, it has run a YouTube channel on the subject of food and other things eaten by people in prison.
