After a search by police and fire departments, the woman was rescued about 250 meters downstream from where she was washed away about an hour later and died at the hospital she was transferred to.



According to police, the person who died was Akiho Kobayashi (22), a third-year university student living in Matsumoto City.



In addition, the search for a man in his late twenties who was swept away resumed on the morning of the 14th, and police said that a man was found in cardiopulmonary arrest about 100 meters further downstream from where Mr. Kobayashi was found around 11:00 am. about it.



According to the Meteorological Observatory, it is possible that the river was flooded with a little more than 10 mm of rain per hour by noon on the 13th around the upper reaches of the Atera River.
