Only one new restriction for the Alpes-Maritimes: the closure of snacks and grocery stores at the same times as those, shortcuts, of drinking establishments.

Or 11 p.m. in municipalities with less than 2,000 inhabitants and 1 a.m. for larger ones.

This was announced on Monday evening by the prefect of the department where 144 new cases of Covid-19 are confirmed every day on average.

But "everything can still evolve", hammered Bernard Gonzalez.

"If the situation continued to deteriorate, as in Marseille or Bordeaux in particular, we would have to take even more restrictive measures", he explained, especially in the Ehpads.

Confirmed cases in twenty Ehpads

"We have a meeting on this subject this [Monday] evening and new measures could be decided," he said.

The situation would be very worrying in these establishments, of which twenty are currently concerned by cases of Covid-19, according to Romain Alexandre, the departmental delegate of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Paca.

Last week, a cluster with 32 positive diagnoses was confirmed in an Ehpad in Mandelieu-La Napoule.

In Nice, the city decided, as of last week, to ban visits to its four municipal establishments.

Thirteen more hospitalizations than last week

In hospitals, the indicators are not for the moment red, and if the situation is under control, it is still considered "worrying".

According to the latest data from the ARS, the number of hospitalizations is increasing very slightly.

There are now 68 people positive for Covid-19 treated in the establishments of the department, including 15 in intensive care units, against 55, including 9, a week ago.

With a positivity rate of 7.8%, the Alpes-Maritimes department, classified as “red - active circulation” since August 27, is above the regional average (7.4%), but below. that of Bouches-du-Rhône (8.5%).

The prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes had already extended, on September 10, the obligation to wear a mask to eighteen municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants.

His decree was attacked before the administrative court by the mayor LR of Villeneuve-Loubet.
