This year, the average freshman in the school's main department is 25.9 years old.

Among them, master students are 26.5 years old and doctoral students are 24.5 years old.

  It is reported that the total number of new graduate students at Peking University this year is 9,301, including 6,333 master students and 2,968 doctoral students.

There are 7866 people studying in the school's main department and 1,435 people studying in the medical department.

Among the freshmen, there are 8541 from the Mainland, 160 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 600 from overseas.

  The average age of doctoral students is lower than the average age of master students. On the one hand, part-time graduate students tend to study after successful careers. On the other hand, the undergraduate direct doctoral students are basically the youngest group of graduate students, accounting for the proportion of doctoral students. As high as 50.2%, it lowered the average age of doctoral students to a certain extent.

  Among the freshmen in the school, 56% are boys and 44% are girls. The overall male to female ratio is 1.29:1.

There are 3870 professional masters and 1,727 academic masters. The number of new students for the professional degree of the master's degree is more than twice that of the new students of the academic degree.

  Judging from the colleges and universities enrolling freshmen for undergraduates, this school has the most enrolled students (1572), accounting for about 20%.

Next are 185 from Wuhan University, 162 from Nankai University, and 161 from Renmin University of China.

Geographically, Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Hunan, and Jiangsu rank among the top five in the number of freshmen.

  The postgraduate international students who go to Peking University's headquarters for further study come from 90 countries, and the number of more than 20 people is the United States, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan and France.
