In June, an employee of a company entrusted with sound effects by NHK lost a recording medium containing images such as programs in the NHK Broadcasting Center, and NHK apologized to the people concerned.

In June, an employee of a company entrusted with sound effects by NHK left the recording medium in the toilet in the NHK Broadcasting Center in Shibuya, Tokyo and lost it.

It turns out that this recording medium is likely to contain at least seven reports and programs that included unbroadcasted three reports at the time, as well as pre-processed footage.

The recording medium was owned by the consignment company, and no appropriate measures such as setting a password were taken.

NHK apologized to the people concerned and requested the consignment company to thoroughly prevent recurrence.

NHK commented, "We deeply apologize to all concerned parties and viewers. We will work together with the consignment company to tighten the management of program images throughout the NHK Group and make every effort to prevent recurrence."
