Since its launch in 2018, the web-TV "Le Media" has followed the departures of its successive editorial directors.

This weekend, it was Denis Robert who was suddenly dismissed from his post at the head of the media close to France Insoumise, without clear explanations for his departure.

Another brutal start to the

Media

.

Denis Robert, the editorial director of the web-TV of the left was dismissed from his functions, explains the newspaper

Le Monde

this weekend

.

Denis Robert took control of the news channel in 2019, after the resounding dismissal of Aude Lancelin, who himself had followed the equally eventful departures of Sophia Chikirou and Aude Rossigneux.

Web-TV close to France Insoumise therefore multiplies departures and internal conflicts since its launch in 2018. The reasons for Denis Robert's departure remain unclear.

A divided editorial staff

The article in

Le Monde

suggests that this departure is perhaps not unrelated to the nature of Denis Robert's employment contract.

More precisely with a request to put things back in order in terms of labor law.

Management ensures that it is the attitude of Denis Robert that is in question.

The boss of the entity that employs the editorial staff, Julien Théry, explained to

Le Monde

: "We have decided to ask him to cease his activities because he has a too classic and hierarchical conception of the function, which we want to do. elsewhere remove to work in a more collegial manner ".

The editorial staff of the

Media

is divided on this departure.

The ten or so salaried journalists are divided between two unions, the SNJ and the CGT.

On the one hand, the three members of the SNJ support Denis Robert and issued a press release asking the management to stop "disregarding labor rights".

On the other hand, the seven members of the CGT confirm the tensions with Denis Robert and the uselessness of his function, which went against their desire to create a more collegial and less hierarchical system.

Former editor-in-chief Denis Robert did not go into the details of his departure.

He simply explained to the

World

that he was "taken aback and in shock".
