Twenty-four clusters in Brittany.

Twenty-two in Ille-et-Vilaine alone.

In the Breton department, classified in the red zone since Saturday, the circulation of the virus is increasingly worrying.

With a positivity rate that has exploded, even exceeding 11% among 16-25 year olds, Rennes is a bad student.

Monday, the prefect of the department Michèle Kirry had no other choice but to take a new binding decree.

The goal?

Trying to limit the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Main victim?

The bars of Rennes, which will now have to close their doors at 11 p.m. until at least September 30.

The appearance of 43 positive cases in the ranks of the University of Rennes 1 is undoubtedly not unrelated to this decision.

According to surveys carried out by the CPAM and the Regional Health Agency, most of the positive cases have attended night establishments in recent days, raising fears of a significant spread of the virus.

“Everyone is called to responsibility in respecting barrier gestures and wearing a mask,” recalls the prefecture.

More than 650 new positive cases recorded in Brittany

Establishments open to the public, such as cinemas or theaters, are required to leave a minimum distance of one seat between the seats occupied by each person or each group of less than 10 people coming together.

The latest figures published by the health authorities confirm this.

In 72 hours, 656 new positive cases were recorded in Brittany.

The intensification of screening may explain part of this increase, but the finding now seems to be reflected in hospitals.

In three days, twenty new patients were hospitalized in the region (they are 110 in total), including one in intensive care.
