Strongly limited gatherings

A new gauge limiting the size of gatherings authorized in municipalities where the incidence rate exceeds the alert threshold to 1,000 people is now in force.

This decision marks the cancellation of most of the major upcoming events in Marseille and its surroundings, such as the European Heritage Days, the Marseille Fair or the Neighbors Day.

No student party or school trip can be organized, and the reception gauge, with "strict compliance with health rules" has been reduced to 1,000 people also in theaters or sports.

On public roads as on beaches, static gatherings of more than ten people are prohibited.

The consumption of alcohol while standing in bars, which will remain closed from 12:30 am to 6 am, is also prohibited, as is the consumption of alcohol on public roads after 8 pm, and “dance parties” will also be prohibited.

Some changes on the wearing of the mask

In the viewfinder of the administrative court for having generalized the wearing of the mask to all Bouches-du-Rhône, the prefect has revised his copy on the matter.

Wearing a mask is now compulsory from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. only in the 27 municipalities, including Marseille, where the incidence threshold exceeds the alert threshold of 100 per 100,000.

The rule has also been relaxed in certain cases, in particular "in large natural spaces" such as creeks, where the mask becomes optional.

In the other municipalities, the prefect has let go of the ballast: the mask is now mandatory only in certain circumstances, such as in public transport and in busy places.

Calling for a "strengthening of the protection of the elderly", the prefect announced the reactivation of the plans implemented during periods of heatwaves, and in particular providing for frequent calls to isolated people, and announced a limitation of visits to health establishments. accommodation for dependent elderly people, with a maximum of two people per day.
