  "World First Aid Day" is initiated by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and it takes place on the second Saturday of September each year.

On this day, National Societies of various countries held various activities to publicize and popularize the knowledge and skills of emergency care to the public.

  At the event site on the 12th, student volunteers from the nursing major of Zhangjiakou College demonstrated cardiopulmonary resuscitation, wound dressing and other emergency rescue skills. The simulated rescue session demonstrated trauma rescue in two sudden situations of athletes injured on snow roads and accidental injuries of foreign audiences. Emergency rescue and helicopter transport of the wounded and other projects.

  According to reports, the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Crescent Societies and the International Olympic Committee have a long history of cooperation. In 2003, the two parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in Spain to encourage National Societies to actively participate in and serve the Olympics.

During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Red Cross Society of China actively provided volunteer services such as emergency medical care and health consultation for athletes, spectators and tourists.

  At present, the Red Cross Society of China has fully started to participate in the service work of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, set up a Red Cross rescue station in the stadium, provided rescue training for Winter Olympic volunteers, and prepared for the mobilization of free blood donation in emergency situations.

Under the guidance of the General Association, the Beijing Red Cross Emergency Rescue Center (999) undertook the helicopter medical rescue service for the Winter Olympics. The Hebei Red Cross became one of the member units of the Provincial Winter Olympics Office and actively participated in the winter Olympics service.

The annual joint ambulance and rescue exercise is an important part of the working mechanism. This is the sixth time that the three places have jointly carried out an ambulance and rescue exercise.
