Ibrahim directed a number of plays that won the approval of the public and critics, in order to go into cinematic work and specialize in short films, and find a window through his YouTube channel. He also participated in dozens of television works, but in secondary roles, hoping that he would get a chance to appear after “the drama succeeds” Emirati women out of the cloak of paralysis, which she is still suffering, ”as he put it, stressing that despite the challenges, he will not give up his artistic dreams.

Beginnings

Returning to his beginnings with art, Khalil Ibrahim started his dialogue with "Emirates Today", as he started with a course and a training workshop on short plays, acting and directing that the Kalba Theater organized for a whole month, through which he was able to learn about the techniques and mechanisms of theatrical work, which allowed him to go through the experience of directing many Of the shows.

He explained: “I got involved in the training workshop, and after that I was able to present a play (The Car Wash) on a text by the American writer Louis Phillips in 2010, in addition to the play (Children of his Eid) about a text by Muhammad Al-Saeed, and another entitled (People of Generosity), in addition to a play (A Separating Family) that was shown within the activities of the Eid Festival in Khorfakkan, and the play (The Man Who Become a Dog) by Argentine writer Osvaldo Dragon, which participated in the fourth edition of the Sharjah Short Theater Festival in Kalba in 2015. ”

Ibrahim added, “I am proud of my presentation of these theatrical works, through which I was able to highlight my talent in the fields of directing and acting, as I won the award for best first-role actor for (the car wash) and (the man who became a dog), before I stopped the theatrical work due to lack of moral support, The lack of available opportunities, and the limitation of presenting this type of work to festivals and national and heritage events only.

Ibrahim went to the cinema and entered a special workshop for filmmaking and directing.

And he found what he wanted on YouTube, the window that was his modest view of the seventh art audience, as he succeeded in presenting several short films, including: “Interrogative”, “16 seconds”, “I am the reason”, “Corona”, and others.

Throughout this experience, Ibrahim remained challenging production obstacles and lack of support, seeking the dream of success: “I never allowed despair to creep in to me, and in return I was trying to present a meaningful artistic product with the help of a group of talented young men who donated their time and effort to present distinguished works.

If I did not succeed in obtaining the support, I succeeded at least in providing Emirati talents who volunteered to work for free in order to raise the banner of creativity. ”

«The popularity of al-Kharif»

Ibrahim describes the quality of the short cinematic films that he presents on his private channel "Sha`biyat al-Kharrif" on YouTube as purposeful social, pointing to the naming characteristic in which he tends to engage in the issues of his local community.

"I am still at the beginning of the road, searching for myself and my talent, which I hope will reach everyone, and I also hope that I will have the opportunity to participate in film festivals inside or outside the country," he stressed, pointing to his suffering, like many talents, from the lack of opportunities for media and artistic appearances.

He continued: “Everyone knows my work, whether in theater, cinema or television. I have participated in dozens of television works in secondary roles, waiting for Emirati drama to succeed in breaking out of the cloak of paralysis and cronyism that it still suffers from.

As for me, I will not give up on my dreams, and I will continue to work relentlessly, and I will not expect anyone to provide material or moral support, because I have hope and confidence in success. ”

Khalil Ibrahim stops at the Emirati artistic names that contributed, whether in his first breakthrough in the world of acting or in his return to the theater after a period of absence, headed by Dr. Saeed Al-Haddad, head of the Kalba Theater at the time, who contributed to his return in 2005 to the theater.

He said, "I owe thanks to the return to the stage of both the able artist Hoda Al-Ghanem and the distinguished artist Mohammed Al-Ameri, who pushed me to the stage again, and I do not deny the artist's virtue, Athari Al-Suwaidi and her support, and the late Hamid Sembej who discovered me and introduced me to the audience of the Emirati theater."
